Pricing and Services

 

Initial consultation and diagnostic fee* and testing of Faulty hardware  - $60 per piece of hardware that needs testing done For a full system hardware test it's $130

 

*Allow a minimum of 48 hours to diagnose any issues Not including Public Holidays

The warranty provided for all reconditioned laptops and desktops lasts 6 months. All parts that are sold come with a 1 moths warranty. Any brand-new parts used are covered under the respective company warranty. Please note laptop batteries are not covered under the warranty as it is considered a disposable items.

WHAT IS REFURBISHED


The bottom line is a refurbished laptop is a USED laptop. "Refurbished" is a broad term that in some cases is very loosely applied to the "condition" section of many item descriptions. Everyone has their own definition of what it means and what needs to be done to a laptop for a seller to call their product "refurbished."


In the opinion of most resellers, the least that a laptop reseller should do is:


Test the hardware to ensure that the components are working (i.e. motherboard, RAM, keyboard, screen, modem, DVD, etc)


Replace any part that is defective.


Replace any plastic that is broken (i.e. a cracked hinge, a broken latch, etc)


Wipe clean the hard drive, and install a fresh copy of the operating system.


Clean the laptop, and ready for the buyer.


POLICIES



Repairs can take up to 2-3 days to complete. Repairs are done as fast as possible but can be delayed due to a high workload. All items must be collected within 30 days of being on the repair bench. If they are not collected within the allotted time they will be sold to make up the repair cost and recoup costs the same goes for items being left here to store I am not a storage location at the end.

I currently have four rates:


$100 per hour for normal rates.


$70 per hour for students.


$55 per hour for concession card holders card must be provided.

$50 per hour seniors and veterans card must be Provided.


For problems that I have to test and identify, I charge a diagnostic fee of $60. However, if you repair the machine through me the fee won't be applied. I will need a minimum of 48 hours with the machine to diagnose.

All repairs are done in a home-based workshop with pro-IT tools and pro-tech Tools.

When calling for computer repairs please leave a message I will get back to you ASAP. I do not normally answer the phone after 5 pm each day unless I am not overly busy so when calling please make note of the time.

​

All reconditioned laptops and desktops are covered under a 6-month warranty. All individual second-hand parts are covered under a 1 months warranty. 

​

Company policy states all Reconditioned Laptops and Desktops are  parts only warranty covers hardware not software and does not include batteries as they are considered a disposal item.
